My name is Kate Kirby. I am an Australian portrait, lifestyle and travel photographer. I’ve recently relocated back to Australia after spending a few years in Toronto, Canada with my husband and son. I have always wanted to live in Melbourne and I’m truly excited by the world of possibilities in pictures this wondrous city presents.
I’ve always loved taking pictures. Since I was five, armed with my second-hand Zoo Pics Fisher Price Pocket Camera, taking pictures was how I made sense of the world around me. I’ve had a camera with me ever since, capturing precious, fleeting moments in time.
For over ten years, my photography passion and profession has seen me taking pictures for people across the world, from Europe, Japan, China to Australia and Toronto. My work spans across editorial lifestyle, travel and portrait photography and has been included in many exhibitions. I hold a Bachelor and Honours Degree in Photographic Art Practice, Creative Advertising, Photojournalism and Film from Griffith University Queensland College of Art, Brisbane, Australia.
